Hello Hello Hello We hope you enjoy it It's a new dynasty Finally It's a new era It keeps getting better and better Hello Hello Hello How's it going? Hello Hello Hello We hope you enjoy it Hello Hello Hello How's it going? Hello Hello Hello

Person 1: So now there's this insanely weird rule where, like, you need to pay a certain tax in order to benefit from anything that's with this new sort of era, which would make sense if the tax wasn't impossibly high, you know what I'm saying? Person 2: Yeah, and apparently, they found this really old way to communicate, I think it was called e-mail? And now the software itself is being sold as vintage and also costs a ton, like huh? Person 1: Even college costs a lot now. Like, I thought student debt was a late 5750s thing but naw apparently it's back and worse than ever. Persons 3 and 4 step in Person 1: Ayyyyyyyy, what's up? You heard my voice message, didn't you? Person 3: Yeah, I'm interested to know what these burgers you were talking about taste like. Person 4: Hold up, I think they got an open mic night going on right now. There's nobody on the mic though. Person 1: Wait, for real? Aight, let's do it! Person 3: Nah hold on, I'm not- I'm not really feeling it today. Person 1: Come on, you got this. This is a great opportunity. We can't keep asking people on MuseWeb to listen to our songs, that's not gonna work forever. We gotta take this chance to show these people what we got! Person 3: Okay, I guess. I got some stuff written down, they got some drums on stage. Did you bring your synth? Person 2: Yeah, don't worry bout that. Person 3: Ok then, let's make some people's day We been stressing all day Cause the bill's not paid But to be fair, we don't really need a long break Just some time for ourselves Some time for our health Some time to be well Only time will tell If we're ever gonna be able to rest But this life is a test And I'm not doing the best, but I'm doing my best Everything is telling me that I should not feel good But it feels really good to be blessed With the people that I know On a roll, yeah we killin it Win after win, yall are insignificant Heroes in town, pulling up looking villainous Gotta have vision, better stop being primitive On and on, yeah we forward thinking it Trust me I'm much more than just a lyricist In a good mood, I'm chillin and doing What I want, where I want, when I want, with the squad just kickin it I feel relaxed I'm feeling glad I'm feeling euphoric. What even is that? I guess it means that I've never been glad The way that I am in this very exact Moment in time Open my eyes Colorful skies But who am I And do I have time To figure it out? Before we all die What is my mind Even saying at this point Can't it see that I'm trying to enjoy? Please, will you keep it down I'm tryna vibe I'm tryna vibe What is my mind Trying to do with me next I'm getting closer to losing my zen I should just ignore the sound Living my life I'm tryna vibe I'm tryna I'm tryna vibe over here I'm tryna vibe over here I'm tryna vibe over here I'm tryna vibe over here I'm tryna vibe over here Personally I'd pick courage and pride over fear Weather good, and we all getting by over here Moon glowing, and the sky's looking clear It's almost like enjoying yourself is a crime over here Stress making it harder to find time to be free But overcoming it is how we live life over here We don't complain, we accomplish Faking and failure are both not options I think I ran out of topics But I'll continue cause to be honest I'm too good to be called out Bouncing back whenever we fall down We're just some kids from a small town But I'll drop the mic like "They know who we are now" Going through hurdles like an athlete Tryna get rid of all the stress and all of my acne I used to be right there in the backseat Till I stood up and said "You really wanna get past me?" So I put the effort every second of the day Only listened to be better than every record that I played Yes I'm restless but I'm never ever reckless or insane But I make them go insane till they no longer feel their brains I take criticism and praise but never breaks Have them taking notes, learning from every word that I say Changing flows not one problem, like yeah okay Get those 15 minutes out and mark my words: I'm here to stay Here to show them how it's done and have some fun while I'm at it Yeah I never take a break but when I do this I'm relaxing Effortless but not lazy, do I do this well? Maybe I'm always getting better every day almost like it's a habit Person 1: Ayoooo, we just killed that! Oh my God! Person 4: You remember what Dave said in that really old movie, Top Boy, I think it was called? He uh Person 2: Yeah he was like, "Composure lads" (everyone laughs at a joke that shouldn't be very relevant after nearly 8000 years. Maybe persons 4 and 2 do have encyclopedic movie knowledge after all) Person 3: Yall seen that person in the suit before? Person 1: Oh no, I think I have. They're one of those label scouts. Person 3: Label? Like record label? Like get some fame and a tiny portion of money at the cost of pretty much anything else one may value record label? Person 1: I never thought of it that way, but yeah. We won't mess up though. We're gonna read that fine print very, very carefully. Person 2: If they agree to sign us. Person 4: Hello there. Uhh, so we're the band that just performed tonight, it was an honor having you among the audience. Label scout: Oh, thank you very much, it was a pleasure to watch you perform. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is- bit mixed on it. I liked some of the ideas you had there like the live sampling and looping of the vocals and the drum filtering, and the song had a nice groove throughout, but a lot of my problems lied in the lyricism. It felt kinda corny and some of these lyrics contradict themselves, like please decide if you're putting work and effort or if you're relaxed and have no stress, because honestly it cannot be both. Also you keep running out of breath, which I mean it's a basic skill you're lacking in here. So overall, the performance was very uh...amateur, and we don't have any room for amateurs in- Person 2: least we still have our masters. Imma head home, it's getting la- Whoa. Are you okay? You seem kinda spaced out. I guess it's cause you haven't left the house in a while, and honestly, you look like it should've stayed that way. Let's just head to the metro sta-

Son, there's something I need to tell you. We've been living our lives protecting you from those who are powerful enough to get away with hurting you. But there will come a day, and that day is very soon, when we won't be able to protect you anymore. Those of our kind aren't meant to be happy. Life isn't meant to treat us right. But you will learn that it is not about life. It's about the people that you live your life with. You're too old to be told something sugarcoated, so I'm just gonna be blunt with you: life is hard. It really is. But you'll get through it.

I've had enough. I've had it rough. You're not concerned, don't bluff Acting all tough. Thinking you run this place well guess what I don't quit that fast. You'll need more than that to stop me Get a whole army out and let them shoot. I will not kneel How is death a punishment to those who are living life worse than death How you expect me to think it's fair that you either rich or drowning in debt I only dealt with it so those close to me don't breathe their last breath But you can't touch em now so there's nothing I can say that I'll regret Right or wrong is not the question, it is simply a matter of stress and depression The only thing worse than being bad is being good at being bad You're quite smart for an evil man, how you let things precipitate and accumulate until it all floods out and now the people are the killers, now they're the looters and shooters and thieves while you just sit there in your ivory chair pretending it hurts when you simply don't care. It's a vicious cycle, this one, and even more vicious when your children are its disciples. This isn't even hard iron this is just the eyes of Benny and rule of his rifles. It's survival of the fittest and I'm feeling pretty fit Compared to dying slowly the truth hurts just a little bit Back then, it didn't matter much, we were kids But there comes a time where you gotta say, "THAT IS IT" Might just start a riot You won't ever make me tired I'll make you retire Went from burnt out to on fire -Oh you've got to be kidding me, oh my Goodne- oh, no. Ayo who's shooting? There's a woman lying on the floor and she's bleeding and everything. Wait, what? She's pregnant?! HEEEEEY! WE NEED AN AMBULANCE QUICK THERE'S A PREGNANT WOMAN ON THE VERGE OF DEATH! -No. no, no, no, no, no. We didn't bring any guns, what's goin- -Will you take a look at what we have here? -HEY, YOU! WE DIDN'T HURT ANYONE. THIS IS A PEACEFUL PROTEST! WHAT'S ALL THAT FOR! -Oh, sorry, my bad. Uhhh, if I were you, I'd fight back, you know? Start shooting at everyone and killing everyone, because how else are you going to get what you want? Oh I'm serious, give it a go. Actually, here-uh, somebody give them a gun, they deserve it, let's give them their justice. -uuhhh, ok, uhhh, AAAAAAAAAAAHHH -Well, someone hasn't yet grasped the concept of sarcasm, like who do you people think you are? You really think I or anyone here cares (oh wait it's "care" not "cares" lol) how much you're struggling? We would've done something about it very long ago, except we don't want to. -Why is that? -Why? Have you not studied history? -Isn't history taught so that- -So that you learn from the mistakes of the past? That's what you wanted to say? You make me sick to my stomach. History is taught to you little rascals so you look around and come to this one little realization: history is destined to repeat itself. Life is nothing but one big cycle. Empires rise and fall, trends come and go, we divide you and you think you're back together only for us to just divide you again. And we make sure that you are more than happy with it being that way. You see, the people who aren't rioting, they love all of this. Or maybe they don't, but they won't do more than sit down and hope something happens that can somehow improve their situation. And that is exactly how we want it. And you marching in the streets and boycotting for a change is gonna...disrupt the peace in this planet. We don't want that to happen, now do we? -Wait, why are you telling us all this? Wouldn't it be better for you if your agenda remained discrete? -The thing is, the reason why I'm coming clean with you all is, first, because I can. No one from the other side can hear us, we've placed an auditory barrier around this city. Secondly, I'm telling you everything because I know for a fact that there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. The moment you even think of resorting to violence, leaders all over the universe will be under the impression that the people of this planet are performing acts of mass terror, and I'm quite sure that they have no problem whatsoever with completely eradicating Earth like it never existed. So, if you'll excuse us, we've got a riot to settle down! AAAA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. YES, THAT'S IT. RUN! RUN, LIKE THE COWARDS YOU ARE. YOU MAY RUN FROM THE TRUTH THAT YOU FEAR, BUT YOU CAN NEVER ESCAPE.

I want to zone out Everything is so loud I do not know how But I've grown old now I need a break Sky's getting gray, giving rain Please take me to another place I need to escape Headphones on Reality can be what I want In here I never get judged for my flaws Might take a vacation, a plane to Mars At least I would if I did have the means You see in here it's not like what it seems Every little detail get you derailed for life Emails calling me a failure but why Normally it's hurricanes Thank God for the rain Thank God for the fact I wasn't caught in the act Of trying to be a better person Sometimes I say maybe I was never worth it But imma let em know I'll forever show I'm inseparable From this very throne When I'm in my zone All I do is flawless They like who'd have thought it Feel like I'm Logic like woah (Looks like our main character here is quite the classical music conoisseur, I mean, a Logic reference? In the year 10000?) Headphones on Reality can finally be gone Couldn't afford to be the same as everyone else So I dealt with it all without anyone's help Couldn't care less about the system Time gave me closure, gave me wisdom Only at night do they pull out the pistols So nobody witness the fact that they're criminals I wish I could say it out loud in public Wish I could sit down and have a discussion If I go out and say all that I've kept They might beat me down and make sure I'm dead One day I'll stop saying one day Life's been a routine, very mundane Imma make sure that the facts are unveiled For now though, it's just another Sunday

Everything I ever fought for, gone away Gone to waste You planted me in this soil, am I really to blame Constantly crushing the seeds you see yourself in Tell me, is it helping? (Is your paradise where my hell is?) Until this soil becomes shelter, will I always be helpless? How long will it take before it all ends? How long will it take before it all ends? How long will it take before it all ends? How long will it take before it all ends? You Took everything from me Everything that I had to lose It's time to be free You will find peace inside You must live your life It may not seem like it But it will be alright

Person 4: What do you mean you had to wash the underwear you wore 2 days ago? Person 2: Isn't that, like, common practice? Person 4: It used to be for me. Wait, have yall heard of Big Hero 6? Person 2: I do NOT like where this is going. Like this is literally the frist time I'm not impressed at a classic movie reference you make. Person 1: Oh, there you are! Person 3: How's it going yall, so as I was walking through the graveyard, you know, paying my respects to the people we lost on uh THAT day, I stumbled upon one of these on this riverside. Person 2: Oh, I know what that is! It's one of those vinyl records I think (pronounced in a very wrong manner) Person 3: No, you idiot, it's a vinyl record. People had those until like the 2600s, I think that's when they stopped making them, so this is at least 7000 years old. It's got some writings, oh it's a single. It's called River. Person 4: Oh no. Songs called River are always red flags. There's never, and I mean NEVER a good song called River. Person 3: I mean hey, there's a record player right next to it, so I guess we could give this one a shot. Life flows on Life flows on Just like this river here We cannot interfere Only move forth Why all the war Where do we go? Why rock that chair? I've been there I know But this river flows Life flows on Life flows on Life waits not For you or me Person 2: Ok, this song is not too bad. Wait a minute, something feels weird. Oh no, I KNEW THIS WAS A BAD IDE- Well then. That's the end of the album, I guess. As nihilistic as it all sounds, I still believe that change is possible. There's a lot of people like you and me who believe that the world could be a much better place, and even though we have tough opponents in the form of entire governments and world leaders who practically piss out money, we have something that no one can ever take away from us, something found in every form of art and every means of communication imaginable. A voice. We are all voices from different places and cultures that believe in progress towards a better world. And someday we will be heard. Until then, let's stick around for each other. Let's cherish the people we value. And most importantly, let's enjoy what's left of our life. It flows on and on like a river, but we all got our dams. The water is rarely clear, but love is the filter. When we love what we do and what we create and who we spend our scarce time with, the water is much, much sweeter. I hope yours is, and I hope you had a good time listening to whatever this album just was. I'm Middle Beast, thanks for actually wanting to read the lyrics and sorry for the long read, and I'm out.
